Router access and local tools
RouterEntry does not ask for router passwords or sign in to your equipment. Directory filtering and gateway validation run in your browser. The helper does not scan your network. It creates a local link after you enter a private IPv4 address. Subnet calculations and the optional basic browser snapshot run locally without sending their inputs or results. Tool input, snapshots and checklist selections are not saved in browser storage.
Website requests
Vercel hosts this website and receives request information needed to deliver it, including network and browser information. A search submitted from the home page includes the query in the destination URL, which the hosting service receives. Do not put passwords or other private information in search boxes.
We use enabled Vercel measurement features to understand page use and page performance. Our integration removes query strings and fragments from reported page URLs. If interaction measurement is enabled, it sends predefined categories, not directory search text, gateway addresses entered in the helper, or feedback messages. Measurement is disabled when the browser signals Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track.
Feedback and corrections
Feedback links open a separate form hosted by Tally. The link includes the public path of the RouterEntry guide so we can identify the page. Tally receives the message, category, and any optional email you choose to submit. RouterEntry uses these submissions to review corrections and suggestions, and to respond when appropriate. An email address is not required and is not a marketing subscription.
The form uses Google reCAPTCHA for spam prevention. Tally and Google process requests under their privacy policies, linked below. Their form and verification scripts are loaded when you open the external form, not on every RouterEntry guide. Please do not submit passwords, account details, serial numbers, or personal screenshots. You can use the feedback form to request removal of a previous submission; provide enough context to locate it without sharing new sensitive information.
External links and clipboard
Manufacturer links open that organization’s website. Local router links open an address on your own network. Copy controls use the clipboard only when selected. Print and checklist tools work in your browser.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand visits and improve these guides. Google’s script loads only when this browser has an unexpired acceptance saved from our earlier analytics settings. We no longer display an analytics prompt. Without a saved acceptance, Google Analytics stays inactive. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control override any earlier acceptance.
Google Analytics can receive page titles, public page addresses, referring website domains, device/browser information and request information, and use first-party cookies to distinguish visits. Our page-view configuration removes queries and fragments and reduces referring URLs to their origin. We do not send router-password input, helper addresses, directory search text or feedback messages as analytics events. Advertising storage, advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled in this integration. Google Analytics is separate from the Vercel measurement described above.
We configure Google Analytics cookies to last up to 180 days without refreshing that expiry on each visit. Enable Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser to stop this integration on subsequent page loads and remove its accessible Google Analytics cookies on this domain; this does not erase data previously received by Google.
