Enter 192.168.0.1 in your browser’s address bar

Connect to your own router’s Wi-Fi or Ethernet first. Confirm that this is its current local address, then follow the browser-access instructions for your exact model.

Match the model before choosing a password

For initial setup, a supported Archer may ask you to create an administrator password. Once configured, use the password you chose, not an unchanged factory example. A Wi-Fi key joins the network; it is not your administrator password.

Choose another exact model. These choices do not mean every router uses this IP.

How to sign in

  1. Join the router’s main network.
  2. Enter 192.168.0.1 in the browser’s address bar, using any protocol specified by your exact model’s instructions.
  3. Use your router’s admin credentials. For first-time setup, follow the device label or manual.

Is this the right address?

192.168.0.1 is a private address that routers can use for their local interface. It is one of the addresses documented for TP-Link and NETGEAR equipment, but a brand name alone does not establish your gateway.

If the page does not open, check your active connection’s Default Gateway or Router field. Some equipment uses 192.168.1.1 instead. Use the address shown by your device rather than changing network settings to match a guide.

192.168.0.1 or 192.168.O.1?

Use a zero in the third position. The letter O is not valid in an IPv4 address. Do not add “www” to the beginning, and do not enter the address in a website’s search box.

What password should I use?

The address does not come with a universal password. Older TP-Link models may use admin for both fields. Many newer models ask you to choose an admin password during setup. A changed password stays changed until an official recovery or reset procedure replaces it.

When the page still won’t load

Guest networks can block router access. A VPN or a second router can also change the path to the device. Try a direct Ethernet connection and the model’s documented address. Follow our connection troubleshooting steps before considering a reset.
