Start with the model on your label
Match the full model and hardware revision before choosing a guide. A family name alone does not establish the same sign-in or recovery steps.
Orbi: identify the router
RBR50 is the router; RBS50 is a separate satellite. Choose the RBR50 guide for the router and its network-wide settings. Do not treat it as a satellite guide.

Follow the documented browser or official app route for that exact model. Orbi also has documented browser access through routerlogin.com and routerlogin.net; the hostname alone does not identify the model or make its instructions interchangeable.
The password that joins Wi-Fi, the local router-administrator password and a NETGEAR online-account sign-in serve different purposes. Use the credential requested by the verified interface in your selected guide.
If administrator sign-in fails
For the original R7000, use its model-specific administrator recovery checks. For an RBR50 router, follow the connection and recovery guidance in the RBR50 full guide. Other models need their own guide; do not borrow reset or recovery steps from a similar name.
If your model supports local browser management, find the current gateway address and use the selected guide’s connection checks. A failed online-account sign-in is a different problem from joining Wi-Fi or opening the local interface.

Keep the exact label details instead of choosing the closest name. Check the equipment directory or NETGEAR support for your exact model. Confirm its hardware and firmware scope before changing settings.
