NETGEAR’s linked manual covers RAX50 and RAX50v2. Confirm that model on the label; the Nighthawk name also appears on unrelated equipment.
Open NETGEAR Nighthawk RAX50 / RAX50v2 settings
Connect to the RAX50 network and open routerlogin.net. Its manual also documents routerlogin.com and 192.168.1.1. A changed LAN address replaces that default.
Which password does this screen need?
The local browser username is admin. Use the administrator password chosen at first setup. NETGEAR distinguishes this login from your NETGEAR account, Wi-Fi key and provider login.
Wi-Fi settings
Open BASIC → Wireless. Edit the passphrase under the selected security option, then select Apply. Reconnect devices with the replacement Wi-Fi key. This change does not replace the administrator password.
Check recovery before erasing settings
The manual describes recovery using previously configured security questions. Follow it on your verified router interface; do not send those answers through a support form.
If you cannot sign in
If password reset was enabled beforehand, cancel the local browser login prompt. The manual then requests the router serial number and answers to your configured security questions before setting a new admin password. If unavailable, check saved credentials and read the reset procedure before erasing settings.
If the screen asks for a NETGEAR account, use account recovery in the official app or website. Confirm that account manages this network. Resetting the equipment is not a way to recover an online account.
