DSL Telecom’s South African DWR-957X setup guide uses 10.0.0.2. It documents a first-setup context. Match your exact product and provider firmware; a changed local address or configured account takes precedence.

First setup is different from later sign-in
The provider’s guide opens a Quick Setup Wizard at this address. Its administrator-credentials step lets the owner choose an Admin Name and Admin Password. For an installed router, use those current credentials; the guide does not establish a universal unchanged password for every DWR-957X.
Recognize the separate password fields
The guide treats Wi-Fi preshared keys, an ISP’s PPPoE username/password, router administrator credentials and optional Telkom VPN Lite credentials separately. Enter a value only in the matching task. You do not need to activate VPN Lite or rerun the entire setup to check which local interface opens.
If the page or internet connection fails
Connect to the intended router’s LAN or configured Wi-Fi and check its current gateway. Confirm the model and address on the device or provider instructions before applying a generic D-Link default.
If the local wizard opens but internet setup fails, the cited provider guide separates Ethernet WAN from the SIM-based connection and checks the corresponding cable or SIM. Preserve the current service configuration while diagnosing it. Use failed-access checks when the local page itself is absent, or the equipment directory for a different model. Applying setup changes can interrupt service; it is not a login test.
