WatchGuard documents https://10.0.1.1:8080 for supported locally managed Fireboxes in the cited quick start. This is not every Firebox: M5600/M5800 use a different 10.0.32.1 default and M4800 uses 10.0.24.1. An installed device’s current IP, port and password take precedence beside the action below.
Use this local link only when it matches your own equipment and network. RouterEntry does not detect your gateway or collect passwords.
Use interface 1 and the exact HTTPS port
Connect the computer to interface 1 and let it receive an address by DHCP, then open the exact HTTPS port-8080 action above. This is local Fireware Web UI access for the supported quick-start context; it is not a universal WatchGuard Cloud or every-Firebox route.
If the installation uses another management address or port, use those current values. Do not bypass a certificate warning merely to force access; verify the expected device and administrator-approved management path.
Use the current device login
The documented unchanged initial login is admin / readwrite. An installed Firebox uses its current device password. Local device credentials are separate from a WatchGuard Cloud account.
On an already configured, locally managed Firebox, open Dashboard → Front Panel to view model, Fireware OS, uptime and status. Do not change security policy or configuration for this task.
Stop if setup appears unexpectedly
The new/default setup wizard is not the Front Panel dashboard. If setup appears unexpectedly, stop and confirm the device state with its administrator instead of configuring it merely to view status.
Check the exact model, interface 1 link, DHCP client address, current management IP/port and current device password. Do not reset the Firebox, change policy or bypass browser security warnings simply to restore the initial route.
