This address comes from Comcast’s officially hosted 2006 SMC8014 Business IP Gateway manual. It is a legacy US Comcast Business context, not every current Comcast gateway. An installer/current LAN address and preserved provider configuration take precedence beside the action below.

Use this local link only when it matches your own equipment and network. RouterEntry does not detect your gateway or collect passwords.

Use the current local LAN path

Connect on the gateway’s local LAN and open the documented HTTP address above. DHCP is enabled in the manual’s initial arrangement, but installed business networks can use provider-assigned static settings. Preserve those settings and use the actual current gateway/LAN address if it differs.

Use the local device credentials

The unchanged factory login in this legacy manual is cusadmin / highspeed. Use the current device password after changes. These are not Comcast online-account credentials or a Wi-Fi key, and this factory pair must not be generalized to newer Comcast equipment.

Open Gateway Status to view hardware, firmware and operating-mode details for support. Reading status does not require changing firewall, LAN or provider settings.

If the legacy address does not respond

Confirm the exact SMC8014-era equipment, current gateway/LAN address and local connection. If another router sits in front, ask the administrator or provider for the actual provider-gateway management path and account recovery.

Do not repeat the manual’s conflicting subnet-mask examples, reset the gateway or change firewall policy to restore this default. Use current-gateway checks and local-access diagnostics first.
