NETGEAR documents 192.168.0.100 for initial WAC104 access. On an existing network, the WAC104 is a DHCP client and its assigned address can differ. Use that current address beside the action below; this is exact WAC104 guidance, not a default for every NETGEAR access point.

Open the initial or current WAC104 address

For a direct Ethernet setup, open the documented HTTP address above or aplogin.net/aplogin.com. On an installed network, first check the known router’s connected-device list or the WAC104’s documented current address; DHCP/current-address precedence means 192.168.0.100 may no longer answer.

If a direct connection requires a temporary client address, NETGEAR gives an example unused address of 192.168.0.210/24. Never assign the computer the access point’s own .100 address, and record and restore the computer’s original network settings afterward.

Use the current administrator password

The documented initial login is admin / password. Firmware 1.0.4.15 or later can require choosing a new administrator password during first setup; an installed unit uses that current password. The label’s Wi-Fi credentials are separate from the administrator login.

After sign-in, use Home → IP Settings to read the assigned IP, or Home → AP Information to view the firmware version. These are status checks; no update or setting change is required.

If the page does not open

Confirm the exact WAC104 model, local Ethernet/Wi-Fi connection and current assigned address. This access point normally attaches by LAN to an upstream router; it is not a modem-facing replacement router, and your gateway may be the upstream router.

Use current-network discovery and failed-access checks before considering recovery. Do not factory-reset or start a firmware update merely to make the initial address respond.
