192.168.0.2 is a configured DIR-878 secondary-router/access-point example, never its factory default. Use the HTTP action below only when this exact LAN-to-LAN arrangement already exists; use HTTPS instead if the owner already enabled it. The DIR-878 factory LAN address is 192.168.0.1, and any owner-configured current address takes precedence.
Use this local link only when it matches your own equipment and network. RouterEntry does not detect your gateway or collect passwords.
Open the already configured access point
D-Link’s arrangement assigns the secondary DIR-878 192.168.0.2, disables its DHCP server and connects LAN to LAN. You do not need to recreate, disable or change anything to log in. A static secondary access point is not necessarily the upstream gateway and need not appear as a DHCP lease.
Open the documented HTTP address above only for that configuration. If the owner previously enabled HTTPS, use the corresponding HTTPS route instead. Do not assume encrypted management is enabled by default.
Use the configured administrator password
The cited A1 manual presents an Admin Password field without a required username. Use the configured password; leave it blank only if no password was ever created in that exact firmware context. Do not invent a username or transfer this presentation to every regional firmware. Wi-Fi credentials are separate.
For a read-only check, the manual’s Home → DIR-878 view displays wireless settings and the MAC address. Viewing those details does not require changing DHCP, operating mode or LAN addressing.
If the configured address no longer works
Confirm the secondary DIR-878 is still in the cited LAN-to-LAN arrangement, check the physical link and use its actual configured address. Your gateway usually identifies the upstream router, not necessarily this access point.
Continue with same-subnet and local-link checks. Resetting erases settings, so do not reset merely to make this example address respond.
