Dahua documents 192.168.1.108 for the IPC-HFW2431T-ZS bullet network camera linked from its official India IPC-HFW2431T-ZS/VFS product page. Do not add an S2 suffix or generalize this to other Dahua cameras. Existing static or DHCP-assigned addressing and the installed firmware/interface take precedence.

Use the camera’s current local network
Connect to the matching camera’s reachable local segment before following the browser instruction above. A camera attached to an NVR network is not necessarily reachable from the household router LAN. ConfigTool search or installer records can identify the current address; stop before applying changes.
DHCP requires an available server and is not established as factory mode. Consult a DHCP lease only when this camera is actually configured as a client on that network.
Use the initialized current password
The default username is admin, but initialization creates its password. Use that password or its current replacement; do not guess admin/admin or a blank value. An uninitialized camera requires the owner’s initialization process before ordinary login.
Only when the installed interface matches the documented Web 3.0 layout, open Setting → Information → Version and read hardware, system and web versions. The task comes from the older official Web 3.0 supplement. No footage access, recording action, firmware change, legacy plug-in installation or certificate bypass is needed.
If 192.168.1.108 does not respond
Confirm the exact IPC-HFW2431T-ZS, current address and network segment, installed interface and current credentials. Preserve the installed protocol and port settings.
The product-linked quick guide does not specify a browser protocol or port. Do not enable services, invent a scheme or reset the camera merely to inspect status.
