This follows Uniview's DMC8000 User Manual V1.01 and Quick Guide V1.00. 192.168.1.14 is the factory management address; a changed static address or DHCP assignment takes precedence. Confirm the installed model and current address first.
Use the existing authorized management connection and current local web account. The manual's admin / 123456 credentials apply only to first login. Stop at an initial password-change or setup prompt and refer it to the operator.
Read Device Status
Open Maintenance → Device Status. Read Firmware Version, Running Time and each Fan Status value. Running Time is continuous operating time; Fan Status indicates whether a fan is online. Record the displayed values.
Keep the check observational
This screen also includes a Buzzer setting and Save button. Leave them unchanged, and do not enter the separate Maintenance tab for this status check.
If access fails
Ask the operator to confirm the current management URL and account. The legacy manual specifies Internet Explorer 7 or later; modern-browser compatibility is unverified. Stop if an obsolete browser component is requested. Do not reset or upgrade the controller to obtain access.
