RouterEntry · Sources checked · How we write our guides
The EnGenius ENH500v3 Kit guide assigns 192.168.1.2 to its preconfigured CB/Remote unit. Serial suffix -2 identifies that unit; the paired AP/Master uses -1 and 192.168.1.1. This is not a universal address for standalone EnGenius devices.
Use this local link only when it matches your own equipment and network. RouterEntry does not detect your gateway or collect passwords.
Choose the correct end of the link
Check the kit unit’s exact model and serial suffix before opening it. Connect through the documented local Ethernet arrangement and use the compatible client network settings in the kit guide. Allow startup to complete; do not mistake the remote bridge for the upstream router.
Use the current device account
The kit quick guide documents unchanged admin/admin credentials. Use the configured administrator account if changed; radio-link security and ISP credentials are separate. A changed management IP replaces the kit’s initial address.
Inspect current operation and link information
The EnJet manual covering ENH500v3 includes current wireless settings and realtime connection views. Use those to inspect mode/link information without Save/Apply or disconnecting clients. Identify the remote end first so a status screen is not mistaken for the AP/Master.
If access fails, check the gateway for network context, then the bridge’s own configured address and Ethernet connection. A bridge need not be your gateway. Follow local access checks instead of reconfiguring the radio just to make 192.168.1.2 respond.
