The 2018 Supermicro 8U SuperBlade manual documents 192.168.100.100 as the default Fail Over mode’s fallback when DHCP fails, in the MBM-CMM-001 / MBM-CMM-FIO chassis-management context. Use the CMM’s current assigned or configured address instead when present. This is a legacy chassis-management example, not an individual blade BMC or a universal default for newer CMM generations.

Use HTTPS only when this is the matching CMM’s active address. Use current operator credentials; a CMM supplied with a unique password uses its own module tag or provisioned credential. The 2018 ADMIN/ADMIN pair applies only to the matching unchanged legacy configuration.
Connect to the CMM’s management network
Use the CMM network port and a computer on the same subnet. The documented fallback uses 192.168.100.100 with mask 255.255.255.0. Use its current DHCP or static address when configured; a lease lookup is useful only on the DHCP network actually serving that CMM.
The MBM-CMM-001 does not support the enclosure’s two front RJ45 ports. Confirm the correct module connection. If a temporary computer address is needed, choose an unused compatible address, preserve the prior settings and restore them afterward.
Use the current CMM account and inspect readings
Use the operator’s current account credentials. For a CMM supplied with a unique factory password, use the CMM module’s pull-out tag or provisioned credential; if unavailable, the official FAQ directs the owner to their Supermicro sales representative.
The 2018 manual documents case-sensitive ADMIN / ADMIN only for its matching unchanged legacy configuration. This is not a universal current Supermicro login, and a blade motherboard’s password label is not the CMM credential.
After login reaches the utility Home Page, inspect the available temperature, fan-speed, voltage and power-status readings. Leave power, fan and other controls unchanged.
If 192.168.100.100 does not respond
Verify HTTPS, the CMM’s own current management address, correct network port and same-subnet access. The legacy manual explicitly requires HTTPS; HTTP produces an address error.
Ask the operator for current access details if fallback is no longer active. Resetting the CMM, changing chassis controls or following a serial reconfiguration procedure is unnecessary for this hardware-health view.
