RouterEntry · Sources checked · How we write our guides
Applies to: Intellian CNX-WIFI in KVH’s OW10HM activation/configuration guide, document 54-1588 Rev. F. Its MGMT-port browser route is distinct from the CNX-Rack and the satellite modem interface.
Connect an authorized computer to the CNX-WIFI MGMT port and enter 192.168.100.3 in the browser address bar. This revision does not specify a URL scheme or port for CNX-WIFI.
This local management address is not a universal router login. RouterEntry does not access the device or submit a password.
Confirm CNX-WIFI, not CNX-Rack
Read the unit label before using this route. The guide gives CNX-Rack a separate port instruction; do not append that port to the CNX-WIFI address. The modem’s own interface is also a separate destination.
Inspect the selected work mode
After authorized sign-in, open Network → Work Mode and read the current selection. Rev. F describes Wi-Fi Router as the default and also documents Switch/AP and Single Port alternatives. Do not infer the present mode from the default, and do not save a change for this check.
Read the current management settings
Open Network → IP Config to inspect the configured management address and netmask. Leave the fields unchanged and do not press Save and Apply. A previously configured installation can differ from the documented starting address.
Use the configured administrative password
This revision establishes an administrative password at first login. If password creation is required, stop this read-only check and ask the authorized installer to complete setup. An existing installation uses its configured password, not an invented universal default or its Wi-Fi joining password. If access fails, verify the model and management connection with the installer; use guided troubleshooting for general access checks.
