Huawei’s Chinese support guidance lists 192.168.101.1 for China Unicom customized routers. This is a regional carrier-specific context, not a default for every Huawei or China Unicom device. The actual nameplate and configured address take precedence.

Confirm the intended carrier version
The same Huawei article distinguishes ordinary Huawei home routers at 192.168.3.1, China Mobile customized routers at 192.168.10.1, and China Telecom customized routers at 192.168.2.1. Those linked addresses also have other documented uses; neither brand nor number alone establishes your model.
Match the management prompt
Use the current management password. Huawei’s troubleshooting guidance suggests checking the Wi-Fi password or a default login password on the underside label where applicable. This does not establish a universal admin pair or guarantee that the Wi-Fi and administrator passwords are always identical. Confirm the labeled field and your configured password.
For a blank page or failed connection
Huawei recommends reconnecting to the intended router’s Wi-Fi, checking the nameplate address, trying another browser or device, and comparing wired access. On a phone, make sure the attempt uses the local network rather than mobile data.
Check the current gateway if the address was changed, and use failed-access help for the observed symptom. Retain working settings instead of resetting solely to match an address list.
