Vodafone documents 192.168.128.1 for an MX68 using its internal DHCP service when the customer supplies no alternative address range. This is a provider-configured routed-LAN example, not every MX68’s guaranteed factory address. Use the verified current MX68 LAN address if it differs; other models, passthrough, vMX and warm-spare arrangements are outside this page’s scope.
Open the MX68 local status page
Start with this HTTP address only when it is the current MX68 LAN address. On MX68 firmware 19.1+, the initial HTTP80 connection redirects to a device-specific devices.meraki.direct hostname using TLS8092. Keep the supported redirect and use the network’s current local-status credentials, separate from cloud-dashboard access.
Confirm the MX68 LAN and redirect
Connect through the MX68’s current LAN and check the default gateway shown by your computer. Confirm that it identifies this appliance; use its verified current LAN address if the provider’s documented range has changed.
Start with the HTTP link above. On MX68 firmware 19.1 or later, the expected redirect uses a MAC-based devices.meraki.direct hostname and TLS on port 8092. An assumed HTTPS443 address is not a substitute for that model-specific flow.
Use the current account and read Connection
Use the network’s current local-status credentials. On MX19+, initial credentials are username admin and the unit’s serial/Cloud ID as password unless replaced by administrator or network configuration. Older serial-as-username/blank-password instructions are historical, not a fallback for every unit. Networks created after August 1, 2025 can receive an unknown generated password on first configuration fetch; an authorized administrator must arrange access.
Open Connection to inspect client, appliance, uplink and cloud state. Leave Configure and Uplink settings unchanged. The local-status account is separate from the cloud-dashboard account.
If local status does not open
Verify the existing LAN connection and current MX gateway with the administrator, and ask whether local access is enabled. If the device-specific redirect does not resolve, ask them to check its local route and DNS.
Do not guess or clear credentials, bypass browser policy, disable protection, change VPNs or reset the appliance for this inspection.
