RouterEntry · Sources checked · How we write our guides

Applies to: Freifunk Bodensee community firmware covered by its linked configuration guide, already installed on a supported node. These instructions do not apply to stock router firmware or every Freifunk community. The guide does not identify a firmware build number.

Open 192.168.133.1 ↗

Use only on your own authorised device network. RouterEntry does not access devices or collect passwords.

Use the local configuration connection

The guide makes configuration available through the yellow LAN ports by default. A connected computer receives an address in 192.168.133.0/24 by DHCP. Use the documented node address above only while that local configuration is unchanged; otherwise ask the node maintainer for its current address.

Match the management sign-in

The documented initial username is root, with no password initially set. If a management password has been set, use its current value. The guide describes a self-signed certificate warning at this exact local HTTPS address; confirm the authorised node and address before following the guide’s certificate instructions.

Inspect the node name

Open Settings to inspect the router name. The same area also contains location settings, which the guide says are shown on the Meshviewer map. Leave location and other configuration unchanged for this check. If you need to set an initial management password, follow the official guide’s separate Password section.
