SonicWall’s TZ300 out-of-box guide uses https://192.168.168.168 on the LAN side. Match that model and initial configuration. A deployed firewall may use a different address or restrict management to an administrator’s network.
Use this local link only when it matches your own equipment and network. RouterEntry does not detect your gateway or collect passwords.
Connect to LAN X0, then use HTTPS
The documented route connects a computer to X0, or to a switch attached to that LAN interface. The default arrangement supplies the computer’s address automatically. Use the HTTPS action above; a WAN-side connection is not the same management path.
Use the local administrator account
The TZ300 guide documents initial admin / password credentials. A configured password supersedes that pair. These are local firewall credentials; MySonicWall registration uses a separate account. You do not need to enroll in a service merely to identify the local login page.
Check the local path before changing the firewall
For a deployed device, inspect the current gateway and confirm the intended firewall with its administrator. A different management address or network restriction may be deliberate. Do not reset, expose WAN management or change firewall policy just to make a default address respond.
The cited interface provides System → Diagnostics → Check Network Settings for connection diagnosis after setup. Menu names are scoped to that guide; first separate inability to reach the local page from lack of internet connectivity. Use local login checks if the page never opens. A certificate warning warrants checking the expected local device and your organization’s certificate guidance before entering credentials.
