192.168.178.2 is a FRITZ!Repeater 600 factory-setup address. After configuration, use its assigned IP or Mesh device entry. This Wi-Fi repeater’s address need not equal the router’s gateway.

Open FRITZ!Repeater 600 at its factory address

Use this HTTP link when directly connected to the matching repeater’s Wi-Fi in its documented factory setup. Otherwise use its current address and UI credentials. No universal factory username/password pair is assumed.

Find the installed repeater

Behind a FRITZ!Box, open Home Network → Mesh and click the repeater’s name. With another router, find its assigned IP in that router’s device list. Local UI access does not require internet service.

Read the existing Mesh connection

In an established FRITZ!Box Mesh, check the repeater’s Mesh symbol and follow its device entry for connection information. Use its current UI password; Mesh credentials can come from the Mesh Master and differ from the Wi-Fi key. Stop if first-use setup is required.

If the factory address no longer opens

Check the current assigned address and Wi-Fi connection first. Follow the actual label and setup state; ask the owner for a missing login or use an already configured official recovery option. Do not press Connect, re-pair or reset merely to inspect status.
