This covers Araknis X20 access points in the Rev A guide. DHCP normally supplies the management address. 192.168.20.253 is the documented fallback when DHCP has not supplied one or the AP is off-network.
Use only if this is the AP’s current address and your existing connection reaches its management network. HTTPS initially uses port 443; follow the owner’s current protocol/port. Initial araknis / araknis requires a password change; use the current account and stop if setup is unfinished.
Confirm the management network
Ask the owner for the current DHCP address, management VLAN and web-access policy. A fallback connection that is not already prepared needs the manual’s direct-Ethernet procedure; coordinate with the owner.
Read System Information
Open Status → System → System Information and read Firmware Version and Management VLAN ID. Leave settings, Save and Apply Changes untouched.
If the page is unavailable
Reconfirm current access details with the owner. Do not reset the AP, alter VLAN/IP settings or start OvrC onboarding merely to inspect these fields.
