This follows HP’s User Guide with 2025 copyright for the LaserJet Pro MFP M126nw plus and M126snw plus. It documents 192.168.223.1 for Embedded Web Server access over Wi-Fi Direct. This address is not the printer’s ordinary home-network address; the guide’s M126a plus model is outside this wireless task.
On an existing authorized Wi-Fi Direct connection to the confirmed printer, enter 192.168.223.1 in the browser using the access method confirmed by the operator.
The numeric instruction does not specify a browser scheme or port. Use the current authorized EWS account if prompted. Initial access can require the printer-specific PIN; a changed EWS password takes precedence. The Wi-Fi Direct connection password is separate.
Read the network information
Open the Network tab and record the network information shown for the operator. Leave address, printer-name and security settings unchanged; viewing this tab does not require Apply.
Check the connection when access fails
Confirm that this is the printer’s existing Wi-Fi Direct connection. If you are using the home Wi-Fi network instead, ask the operator for the printer’s current network address. Wi-Fi Direct does not provide Internet access, and some EWS features depend on the connection. Stop at unexpected setup or login prompts and confirm access details with the operator.
