This follows BA00071S/04/EN/09.15 for product version 1.07.xx in Access Point mode. 192.168.253.1 is its documented LAN2 service address. LAN1 uses a separate address; Access Point here is a PROFIBUS gateway mode.

Open this local interface

On the operator-approved existing LAN2 service connection, enter 192.168.253.1 in the browser address bar after confirming the installed route. Follow the operator's current scheme and port instructions.

Keep the existing view without enabling editing. The manual's Login action enables changes. If your installation requests authentication, obtain the current authorized account from its operator; no current shared password is assumed.

Confirm LAN2

Have the operator confirm the service connection and assigned client address. The documented LAN2 interface supplies client addresses by DHCP.

Read Information

Open Information and read the gateway's electronic-nameplate information to confirm its identity. Leave Settings and PROFIBUS controls unchanged.

If access fails

Ask the operator to check the existing client network and browser proxy route. Do not move field cables, change network settings or reset the gateway for this check.
