Shelly documents 192.168.33.1 for the access point of the Plus 1 smart switch, model SNSW-001X16EU. This is local device management, not a home-router gateway or DHCP fallback. Use the unit’s actual address on the home network instead when its AP is disabled or you are connected through configured Wi-Fi.
Open Shelly Plus 1 web interface ↗
Use this HTTP AP address only while connected to the matching Shelly Plus 1 access point. On configured home Wi-Fi, use the unit’s actual current address.
Connect to the correct Shelly Plus 1
Use an already installed and powered unit. While its AP is enabled, join the ShellyPlus1/unique-ID Wi-Fi network and open the documented HTTP action above. The AP can be open initially or protected by a configured Wi-Fi password.
Do not perform wiring, expose the installation, press controls or reset the unit merely to recover this page. Local viewing does not require Shelly Cloud or internet access.
Keep Wi-Fi and web authentication separate
The AP Wi-Fi key and optional web-interface authentication are separate. If web authentication is enabled, use its already configured password. Do not invent a factory administrator pair or substitute the AP key or Shelly Cloud login.
On Home, inspect the Wi-Fi/AP connectivity icons and, where the installed interface provides them, the footer’s model, device ID and firmware version. Gray Wi-Fi means disabled, white means enabled but disconnected, and blue means connected. Do not click the output power control, start a firmware update or change network settings.
If 192.168.33.1 does not open
Match the exact SNSW-001X16EU unit and its active AP or configured local network. An absent or disabled AP does not establish a device fault; use the known current Wi-Fi address instead.
Consult an upstream lease only when this unit actually uses DHCP on that network. Preserve the working installation and do not reset it to force the AP default.
