Huawei documents 192.168.4.1 as a secondary-router address after a specific LAN conflict. It is not a universal factory default. Use it only when it matches the router and configuration you are trying to reach.

Why a router that used 192.168.3.1 moved
In Huawei’s described cascade, the main router keeps 192.168.3.1 while the secondary changes to 192.168.4.1. This explains why an old bookmark might open the wrong device or no longer reach the secondary.
The useful first task is identifying the intended router and its current address, not changing either router’s LAN settings again.
Confirm the secondary connection and account
Huawei describes connecting a computer to the secondary’s LAN port and checking its assigned network segment. Its example uses a 192.168.4.x client network to identify the secondary at 192.168.4.1. Read the current gateway and client network details instead of guessing from the brand alone.
Enter the secondary router’s current management password if prompted. Huawei notes model/interface differences and nameplate management credentials for certain WPS setups. Do not substitute the upstream router’s account or assume a universal Wi-Fi/admin relationship.
When this explanation does not match your setup
Use the address actually assigned to your device. In a Huawei mesh arrangement some settings are managed through the upstream router; a non-Huawei upstream arrangement can differ. Do not reset or change bridge mode solely to make this address respond.
