Cassia documents 192.168.40.1 for the X2000 Bluetooth gateway’s Wi-Fi hotspot connection. This guidance follows the 2024 installation guide for firmware 1.3 and later. Use the gateway’s current hotspot and access details; an Ethernet-assigned address is a separate path and need not equal the hotspot address.

Open this local interface

While connected to the X2000 hotspot, enter 192.168.40.1 in Chrome’s address bar.

Use this instruction on the matching X2000’s enabled hotspot. The console username is admin; use the current console password. Initial console access requires setting a password. The hotspot Wi-Fi key is separate, and the documented local browser workflow does not specify a URL scheme.

Connect to the current X2000 hotspot

At factory settings, the hotspot name is cassia- followed by the last six MAC-address characters, and its Wi-Fi password matches that name. Use the current hotspot details if changed. This Wi-Fi key is separate from the console password.

For Ethernet through a managed switch, find the gateway’s current assigned address in the serving network’s DHCP table using its Ethernet MAC, then open that address from the same network. The hotspot number is not a substitute for its Ethernet address.

Use the current console password and view Status

Sign in as admin with the current console password. The 2024 guide requires creating a password at first login; if initialization appears, stop this read-only check and contact the existing administrator.

On an already configured unit, open Status to read model, firmware, Working Mode and AC Online Time. Standalone mode works locally without AC, so an offline AC indication alone does not establish a fault. Leave Basic settings unchanged.

If the hotspot console is unavailable

Confirm that the hotspot belongs to this X2000 and remains enabled. If using Ethernet instead, use its current address on that network. Ask the administrator for a missing console password rather than guessing.

Five failed console attempts trigger a one-minute lock. Resetting or rebooting the gateway is unnecessary for this status check and can discard useful operating information.
