This follows the DA1054 User's Guide 1308150 Rev. D. It documents 192.168.40.254 as the default LAN address with routing enabled. Confirm the model, existing routing mode and current address before opening it.
Use an existing authorized LAN connection and the current local account. The guide's initial username and password are admin / admin; changed credentials take precedence.
Read Router Status
The guide opens on the status screen after login. Select Management → Status if needed. Under System, read Firmware Version and Uptime. Record the displayed values; the example values in the manual do not identify your installed firmware.
If access fails
Ask the owner to confirm the current LAN address, account and existing routing-switch position. This legacy guide describes Internet Explorer with Java support; modern-browser compatibility is unverified. Stop if an obsolete component is requested. Do not change modes, launch Setup Wizard or reset the router for this check.
