This follows Sony's WG-C20 Help Guide, 4-479-246-14(2). It documents 192.168.41.1 for a direct wireless connection. Confirm the model and current address; the address can be changed.

Open WG-C20 local settings

Use the owner's existing direct Wi-Fi connection in owner mode. A network-key prompt uses the configured Wi-Fi password. The cited browser instructions supply no separate universal web account; refer unexpected authentication prompts to the owner.

Read System Software Version

Open Maintenance and read System Software Version. Record that value for the owner. Leave Update, Reset and Rebuild unused for this inspection.

If access fails

Have the owner verify the existing direct connection and current address. This legacy guide names Internet Explorer on Windows and Safari on Mac; present-day browser compatibility is unverified. Stop at setup or obsolete-software requests instead of changing security, resetting the unit or installing firmware.
