RouterEntry · Sources checked · How we write our guides

This follows the BraxRouter software 5.5 guide for Raspberry Pi 5, 4 and 3B+. It documents 192.168.44.1 through the router's HomeWifi network. This check uses that existing Wi-Fi connection; an upstream-network address can differ.

Open BraxRouter local interface

Use the current device web account. The 5.5 guide lists braxrouter / hidemyzuckingass initially, but the browser password can change separately. Wi-Fi and BytzVPN service credentials are separate settings.

Read Discover Devices

After login, select Discover Devices from the main menu. Read the listed IP and MAC addresses to help the authorized operator match an attached device. The guide does not promise a device-name or ownership field.

If access fails

Confirm the current router Wi-Fi network, address and web account with the operator. If a certificate warning appears, have the operator verify the intended device before proceeding. Leave setup, VPN profiles, passwords and reboot controls unchanged for this inspection.
