This follows guide Version 7 for VCM8002V5031 firmware 1.4 with an SE8000 controller running 2.5.1 or later. 192.168.71.1 is the documented module access-point address; the building-network address is separate. Confirm the installed model and interface.
On the owner's existing authorized connection to an already enabled module access point, enter 192.168.71.1 in the browser address bar only after confirming the current access details. The numeric instruction does not specify a scheme or port.
Use the current web account. The guide's initial pair is admin / admin8000 and requires a first-login password change. The access-point Wi-Fi password is separate; use the owner's current details.
Confirm the access path
Have the owner confirm that the module access point is already enabled and available. It can time out. A building-network connection uses its own assigned address; do not enable the access point or change networks for this check.
Read the module version
On Home, read Version in the Wi-Fi Module panel. The adjacent Room Controller panel describes a different component. Note the displayed module value without updating firmware or changing settings.
If the page is unavailable
Confirm the current address and web credentials with the owner. If the page is blank after login, have them check JavaScript availability. Stop at initial password-change or certificate prompts and refer them to the administrator; do not reset or recommission the module.
