Check this browser’s basic signals

Show a small snapshot to help explain a browser problem. These are browser-reported hints, not a connection test.

The tool reads five basic signals when you choose Show or Refresh. It does not detect an IP address, collect passwords, create an identifier, save the snapshot or send its values. Copy puts the displayed summary on your clipboard.

What the signals can tell you

  • Browser family: a best-effort label from the browser’s identification string. It can be changed or ambiguous. Confirm the name and version in the browser’s own About screen if support needs them.
  • Connection hint: “online” can mean a local connection with no working internet. “Offline” is also a browser hint, not proof that your router is unreachable.
  • Cookies allowed: a general browser setting, not a test that a particular website can set or read a cookie. Site-specific restrictions may differ.
  • Secure context: describes this RouterEntry page only. It does not check the certificate, encryption or trustworthiness of your router’s page.
  • JavaScript: confirms this tool ran. It does not test whether scripts on another page are blocked.

Use the details to choose a next step

If a router page works in one browser but not another, compare the affected browser’s site settings and extensions. If neither opens it, check that you joined the main Wi-Fi network and confirm the gateway address. Keep your firewall enabled.

If the browser says online but websites fail, work through the connection questions; this snapshot cannot distinguish a DNS problem, service outage or router fault. It does not measure speed, inspect Wi-Fi strength or check open ports.

Sharing and clearing

Review the visible summary before copying it into a support conversation. Clear removes the snapshot from this page. It does not erase a copy already on your clipboard or in another application.
