Are you connected to the TP-Link router?
Join its main Wi-Fi network or connect a computer to a LAN port. A phone on mobile data or another wireless network cannot use the same local route. Enter http://tplinkwifi.net in the browser address bar.
Try the actual IP address
If the hostname fails, find the gateway on your connected device. TP-Link lists 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.1.1 as alternatives on applicable routers. Use the address your own device or model documentation identifies.
Check the product family
- Archer and conventional Wi-Fi routers: start with the router guide.
- Deco: use the Deco app and the documented Deco management route.
- Range extender: use the extender’s exact manual. The router hostname may identify your main router rather than the extender.
Check the symptom before changing settings
An unreachable page is a connection or addressing problem. A rejected password means you reached a sign-in screen and should confirm its identity and credentials. Repeated password attempts do not fix a hostname that cannot resolve.
Keep the change small
Try another browser or connected computer. A VPN may have a local-network-access option; follow its documented setting and your administrator’s policy. Avoid disabling security tools globally. Use the symptom guide before a reset.
