Official WAP54G guides document 192.168.1.245 as the default management address. Connect a computer to the AP’s network and confirm its current address; a configured AP may no longer use the default.

Use this local link only when it matches your own equipment and network. RouterEntry does not detect your gateway or collect passwords.

Official editions differ on the username

The WAP54G V30 A-WEB guide specifies a blank username with factory password admin. The EU-LA-UK V3 Rev NC guide specifies admin/admin. Both use the same numeric default; the address alone cannot determine which credential instructions apply.

Use your current configured credentials first, or match the exact official guide edition for unchanged equipment. Do not guess a hardware mapping between these editions or assume a universal WAP54G username. The Wi-Fi key has a separate purpose.

Inspect the local and wireless status

The A-WEB guide’s Status → Local Network shows firmware, local IP, mask and gateway. Status → Wireless Network shows mode, SSID, channel and security information. Inspect rather than change these settings when identifying the device.

If the access point has another IP

The A-WEB guide describes Setup Wizard discovery for a changed IP. Use the applicable official tool/instructions for this legacy model and your supported environment. The main gateway is not necessarily the access point’s own address.

Check the AP’s network connection and saved management IP before further access diagnostics. See Linksys family help for other products; do not reset this AP just to test competing default logins.
