Buffalo’s Japanese default-address list assigns this address to WMR-433/W/W2 and WMR-300. Follow your exact WMR model and current LAN configuration; other Buffalo families can use different addresses.

Buffalo’s WMR walkthrough gives the browser address 192.168.13.1 and buffalo.setup as an alternative. Connect to the intended WMR network first. Opening settings does not require beginning the firmware upload described later in that source.
This WMR credential mapping is specific
In the cited WMR flow, the initial username is admin and the password is the setup-card encryption key/PIN, also identified on the rear label. Use a changed management password when applicable. This documented overlap is why a blanket “Wi-Fi keys never match admin passwords” rule would be misleading here.
Check the current address before recovery
A changed LAN address takes precedence over the factory address. Check your connected device’s gateway and confirm which router supplies that network; it may not be the travel device you intended to manage.
