The FRITZ!Box 7590 manual gives 192.168.178.1 as its preset local address. Join its main network, not guest access. A changed configuration takes precedence; this page does not establish defaults for every FRITZ! product.
Use this local link only when it matches your own equipment and network. RouterEntry does not detect your gateway or collect passwords.
Use the local device account
The manual also supports http://fritz.box. Use the current FRITZ!Box password or configured local user when requested. The initial device password is on the label; the Wi-Fi network key is a separate field. See the 7590 guide for the model-specific path.
If the familiar address stops working
Check the current gateway and which router provides your connection. A second router can make that gateway a different device. Confirm the intended box before entering its password or changing settings.
For documented wired recovery of access, see 169.254.1.1 emergency access. That route has specific connection requirements and does not bypass a password. Do not reset a working network merely to restore an old bookmark.
Separate login trouble from an internet outage
A page that loads but rejects a password needs account checks. A page that never loads needs local connection checks. Successfully signing in does not prove the ISP connection is working, and changing a Wi-Fi key will not repair the wrong management address.
