Confirm Giga Hub in your equipment details

Bell publishes some instructions jointly for Home Hub 4000, Giga Hub and Giga Hub 2.0. This page focuses on Giga Hub. Check the model and current screen before using a shared tutorial.

Open management from home

Connect to the Giga Hub’s network, then open the local address below. Bell also documents bell.ca/mymodem when internet access is available.

192.168.2.1 is a local management address, not your device’s own IP or your public internet address.

Find the modem password, not the Wi-Fi key

Bell’s label guide identifies S/N as the original administrator password for Giga Hub. It identifies the WPA2 key separately as the Wi-Fi password. Use your chosen administrator password if it has been changed.

Bell’s current Giga Hub tutorials also direct you to the front display: select Modem Management with the arrows, then press OK. Follow that on-device guidance when a tutorial asks you to obtain management details.

Change Wi-Fi settings

Open Manage my Wi-Fi, confirm that Primary Wi-Fi is enabled, edit the intended network name or password and save. Reconnect affected devices afterward. If your screen differs, consult the Giga Hub tutorial below instead of using instructions for an older Home Hub.

Prepare recovery while you can sign in

Bell’s recovery tutorial offers email or text-message recovery under modem preferences. Configure it directly on your modem using your own contact details if wanted. Do not enter that information on RouterEntry. If you are already locked out, check whether recovery was previously configured before considering a factory reset.

If the modem shows an error

The Giga Hub can display an error on its front screen. Match the actual code to Bell’s official error guide. A service fault is not resolved by guessing admin passwords. If multiple devices cannot browse, use the shared-connection checks and tell Bell the error code when seeking support.

Check access for this model

Connect to Giga Hub and open 192.168.2.1. Bell also documents bell.ca/mymodem when internet access is available.

When a password is rejected

Check whether email or text-message password recovery was configured on your Giga Hub. Use that recovery option if available before considering a reset.

Recover your Bell account using Bell’s official sign-in help. The Bell account, modem administrator password and Wi-Fi key serve different purposes.

When several devices lose internet

Read the exact error on the Giga Hub display and match it to Bell’s error-code guide. Tell Bell that code and which connected devices fail.
