Connect to your own router’s Wi-Fi or a LAN port first. ASUS gives 192.168.50.1 as an example LAN address; it is not the address of every ASUS router.
This opens a local address on your network. RouterEntry does not detect or contact your router automatically and never asks for its password.
If the address does not open
- Read your connected device’s actual gateway. Use the reported address if it differs.
- ASUS also documents http://www.asusrouter.com for its browser interface. The RT-AX57 manual notes that some regions redirect to HTTPS; follow the exact model’s official guidance if that happens. Verify the local destination before entering credentials.
- If you use an access point or mesh node, confirm which device you are managing. Continue with login troubleshooting if neither documented route works.
Which password does this screen need?
ASUS’s sign-in guidance separates the router administrator account from the Wi-Fi key and provider credentials. First setup may ask you to create the management account; a configured router needs the account already set for it. Do not assume an unchanged default when you have changed the password.
