Open Hub Manager

  1. Connect to your BT Hub’s network.
  2. Enter 192.168.1.254 or http://bthomehub.home in the browser address bar.
  3. Use the admin password when Hub Manager requests it to change settings.

BT’s instructions direct you to the back of the Hub for the unchanged admin password. If you updated it, use your replacement password.

Check which Hub you have

The appearance and available settings vary between Hub generations. Identify your model before applying an advanced guide. If another router sits between your device and the Hub, your device’s gateway may point to that router.

Wi-Fi and administration

The wireless details connect a device to the network. The Hub administrator password authorizes settings changes. Read the label carefully and select the appropriate value. RouterEntry never asks you to enter either password here.

The address will not open

Check that you are connected to your own Hub. Enter the address in the address bar, not a search field. If the hostname fails, use the IP documented by BT. If the screen remains unavailable, try a connected computer and follow the local-access checklist.

Before restarting or resetting

A restart interrupts the connection for everyone using it. A factory reset also removes custom settings. Follow the exact Hub’s official recovery instructions and have the information needed to reconnect your devices ready.
