The Nest Wifi router has Ethernet ports. A Nest Wifi point extends Wi-Fi coverage and also works as a voice-assistant speaker; it is a different device from that router. For a Nest Wifi point, use Google’s point instructions.
Which generations can share a mesh?
Nest Wifi Pro cannot share a mesh network with older Nest Wifi routers or points, or with Google Wifi points. Google documents combining the older Nest Wifi and Google Wifi families. Check the generation before adding equipment.
Account access and Wi-Fi passwords are separate
Your Google Account signs you into Google Home. Select the home that contains the network, with permission to manage its settings. Signing in to an account does not by itself grant access to every home.
The Wi-Fi password joins devices to the network. A device setup code is for adding equipment; neither replaces your account password or permission to manage the home.
