Confirm the mesh model

Velop covers multiple products and firmware generations. Check the complete model number before following an app or browser walkthrough. A guide for an older Smart Wi-Fi router may show a different sign-in screen.

Use local access

  1. Connect to the mesh network.
  2. Find the router’s current address on your connected device and open it in a browser.
  3. Choose the local router-password sign-in path when it is offered. Use the password created for this router.

Linksys’s mesh guidance distinguishes local access from account sign-in. Confirm the screen you are using before trying a password.

Recovery depends on the device

Some models offer a Reset Password link and request a recovery key printed underneath the router connected to the modem. Follow that option only when your model’s official guide identifies it. A password-recovery link is different from physically resetting the equipment.

If you normally use the Linksys app

Start from the app associated with your configured network. Choose the router-password route if you intend local administration. If the app and browser show different options, compare the exact model and firmware with the official guide.

Still cannot reach the sign-in screen?

Recheck the main Wi-Fi connection and gateway address. A guest connection may be isolated. Follow the connection troubleshooting steps before erasing the mesh configuration.

Make the rest of your network work better

Once you can reach your router, choose the next step for your home.
