This guide follows the AX73 V1 manual. Read the hardware version on your label; do not choose firmware simply because another model also says AX5400.
Open TP-Link Archer AX73 V1 settings
Connect to the AX73 network and enter tplinkwifi.net. The V1 manual supports sign-in with the password set for the router or an associated TP-Link ID. If the hostname fails, check the router’s current LAN address.
Which password does this screen need?
Use the credential requested by the current interface. The label’s preset network name and Wi-Fi password are for joining Wi-Fi; a changed router-management password remains changed.
Wi-Fi settings
Open Wireless, or Advanced → Wireless → Wireless Settings. Edit the intended network name and password. With Smart Connect enabled, the V1 manual applies one name and password to both Wi-Fi bands. Save and reconnect devices.
The guest network is not the primary network
AX73 V1 has a separate Guest Network page under Advanced → Wireless. Check that you are editing the network your household uses. Guest permissions affect access to other devices, so do not change them merely to solve an admin-password error.
If you cannot sign in
Local Password Recovery must have been enabled with working email settings before it can help. The V1 manual uses Forgot Password on the sign-in screen. This feature is disabled for TP-Link ID sign-in; recover that account separately.
If the screen asks for a TP-Link account, use account recovery in the official app or website. Confirm that account manages this network. Resetting the equipment is not a way to recover an online account.

If internet access fails too
Compare another device on the same network. One device failing and every device failing need different checks. Note any equipment error and consult your provider when the shared connection remains unavailable.
